.NET Web Product Roadmap (ASP.NET, Silverlight, IIS7) – ScottGu’s Blog

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: .Net rocks. This looks like a pretty solid roadmap to me. However I do find it strange that the “middletier” pieces arent getting a lot of love from Scott and his trusted minions. I mean in the backend they have Sql Server and will have great support for data binding and manipulation via ADO.Net Data Services and on the frontend they have ASP.Net, WPF and Silverlight; all good stuff. But I’d love to see some sort of support for a middletier server that would be placed between the two. Perhaps that answer really just is IIS? I guess WAS could also be part of the answer. Hosting WCF services in either is a pretty soild “middletier” server I guess.
