Beyond Graphics – The Present and Future of GP-GPU - 3D Graphics, Audio & HDTV by ExtremeTech

It wasn’t so long ago that 3D graphics cards were only expected to deliver higher frames-per-second in your favorite 3D games. Sure, the graphics companies fought over some image quality issues like the internal color processing precision and the quality of anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering, but even that was targeted at game performance and quality.

New job!

April 2, 2008

So, yesterday I finally started in my new job here @ Bouvet! I’m loving it so far! :)

What am I doing now? I’m working my way through the BizTalk 2006 R2 tutorials, pretty easy stuff, but interesting. It’s definitely a new angle to development. The modeling aspect is very cool! And there are so many tiny details that I have no idea why are the way they are. I just love new tech like this! :) In two weeks I’ll be attending a “Getting started” course in BizTalk, held by John Callaway. I need to be up-to-speed by then.

More good news; I got a new laptop to play with! It’s a beast to! Not in a “heavy and loud” kinda way, but rather in specs! It’s got a 2.4GHz Dual Core CPU, 3 GB of RAM, a Nvidia Quadro FX GPU and all the bells and whistles I can think of (not really, but it’s got what I need). Works great! I’ve been mostly working on a VPC image today, no need to install BizTalk, VS2005 and Sql Server on the laptop if I can avoid it. I have installed Ditto and Launchy though! And I’m using the fingerprint scanner! :)
